Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food & Chairman Cabinet Price Control Committee Bilal Yasin has said that artificial price hike has reduced considerably due to establishment of Sastay Sahulat bazaars. He said that fresh edible items are being provided to the people on cheaper rates.
He said this during a surprise visit to Wahdat Colony and Gulshan-e-Ravi Sahulat bazaars, today. He directed the staff of market committee to further reduce the prices mentioned in the lists in the morning so that eatable items should be available to the consumers on cheaper rates. He directed Food Authority not to compromise on quality and security arrangements of the bazaars. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to make security arrangements in Sahulat bazaars for the protection of the people.
Bilal Yasin while taking to the consumers said that they should supplement the efforts of the government against price hike. He said that provincial government is implementing a comprehensive system for stabilizing prices so that hoarding should be eliminated and essential items could be available to the people at cheaper rates. He directed administration of Sahulat bazaars to provide best parking facilities to the consumers and civil defense and police staff should be deployed there. The Minister said that he will visit Sabzi Mandi Badami Bagh within few days to review the situation of the market.
