Turks will give Corporals training of counter terrorism :Col. Shuja Khanzada

Lahore: The work of recruitment of 1500 corporals for Counter Terrorism Force has been completed whose training will be started from April.

This was disclosed by Chairman Police Reforms Committee Col. R. Shuja Khanzada while addressing a meeting in this regard, here today. The Minister said that 1500 corporals have been selected on merit for this force through National Testing Service (NTS).

They will gain salary of BPS-5 during training while Risk Allowance of rupees 50,000/- will also be included in their salaries after completion of their training. The Minister told that these corporals will be given nine months training comprising of 4 months training of elite police, 3 months of intelligence while 3 months of specialized training of counter terrorism.

Col. R. Shuja Khanzada informed that all arrangements related to this training have been completed. 50 instructors from Turkey of their special force will come to Pakistan to give training to this force.

Along with this, Pakistan Army will also provide its services to train these corporals. The Minister said that retired Army Officers of Brigadier and Colonel Rank will be hired who will play an important role in running counter terrorism department. He informed that helicopters will also be purchased to make the mobility of this force easy and effective.

The Minister said that this force will not only work to overcome terrorism in Punjab but also work to control terrorist activities in whole country.
