Rector NUST awarded merit medals at Convocation Ceremony of 76 Engineering Course

Group Photo Gold MedalRISALPUR 26 MARCH, 2014: Convocation Ceremony of 76 Engineering Course was held at Pakistan Air Force Academy, Risalpur. Lieutenant General (Retd) Muhammad Asghar, Rector National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), was the Chief Guest at the occasion.

The Chief Guest awarded merit certificates and medals to the distinction holders. Merit Certificate for best Aerospace Vehicle Design was awarded to Pilot Officer Hafiz Muhammad Umer, while Merit Certificate for Best Avionics System Design was awarded to Pilot Officer Ahsan Waleed Nazar.

Rector’s Gold Medal for Best Project in Aerospace Engineering was awarded to Pilot Officer Hassan Abbasi,Rector’s Gold Medal for Best Project in Avionics Engineering was awarded to Pilot Officer Ahmed Hussain while President’s Gold Medal for standing first in Aerospace and Avionics Engineering Disciplines were awarded to Pilot Officer Hafiz Muhammad Umer and Pilot Officer Ahmed Hussain respectively.

While addressing the audience, the Chief Guest lauded the PAF leadership for their vision to establish unique alma mater which is not only fulfilling the requirements of PAF, but also contributing for the national progress in the domain of aviation industry. He also commended the faculty and PAF Academy for providing quality research and educational environment to the Engineering cadre of Pakistan Air Force.

Earlier on his arrival at the PAF Academy, the Chief Guest was received by Air Vice Marshal Rashid Kamal, Air Officer Commanding, PAF Academy, Risalpur.
