Lahore: Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Chaudhary Muhammad Shafique has said that resolving of energy crisis and strengthening of economy are priorities of Punjab government and an effective policy has been adopted for this purpose.
This was stated by him while addressing the participants of 3rd Iron & Steel Conference Pakistan held, here today. This conference was aimed at highlighting the progress made by Pakistan’s steel sector and issues of steel industry. The Minister said that steel sector has a major role in Pakistan’s economy. He said that government is well aware of the problems being faced by iron and steel sector and is endeavoring to overcome them both at federal and provincial levels.
Chaudhary Muhammad Shafique said that no country can make progress without having a stable economy. He told that government is also taking measures for the development of steel engineering like other sectors. The Minister said that government is making its best efforts for resolving energy crisis and improving law and order so as to bring maximum investment to the country. He said that Punjab government is working hard under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for the development of the province and betterment of the masses.
