Situation in Cholistan is normal:MD CDA Javed Akther

Lahore: Managing Director Cholistan Development Authority Javed Akther Mahmood has told that the situation in Cholistan is normal, however, process of constant monitoring is continuing. He said that all water lines in Cholistan are completely operational through which water is being provided to cattle and human beings continuously. He said that twelve tapes from Khutri Dhar to Tofana and Mir Garh to Churi have been installed.

He said that two water valves from 111DNB to Nawankot have been repaired while 13ft pipeline from Khutri Dhar to Tofana has also been repaired.

He said that 13 more bladders have been deployed at various places for providing water, however, 32000 ltrs. water was provided through four water bouzers of houbara foundation at Toba Bijnot, Kheer Sar and adjoining tobas of the area. Similarly water is also being supplied with the cooperation of Pak Army and Hobara Foundation.

MD CDA further told that according to health department, 767 patients have been examined and treated at basic health units and rural health centers of Cholistan whereas seven mobile teams are also providing diagnostic and treatment facilities to the patients on daily basis.

He told that 10849 cattle were treated and vaccinated at seven medical veterinary camps established at various places by Livestock Department.
