SO FAR NO POLIO CASE IN PUNJAB CURRENT YEAR

Lahore: The Spokesman of Health Department has said that no polio case has so far been registered in Punjab during current year. While clarifying the case of 7 month old baby Saima of Sandhlianwali district Toba Tek Singh, said that the baby is affected from Acute Flacid Paralysis (AFP).

The spokesman further said that the Health Department has sent stool sample of the baby to National Institute of Health (NIH) Islamabad for further investigation. He further disclosed that earlier, Health Department has sent about 700 samples of AFP affected children but all reports of these samples come negative.
