Lahore: Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court , Justice Qazi Faez Isa has said that court rooms should be a comfortable environment and a level playing field for all the stakeholders-litigant public as well counsel from both the parties.
He was addressing at a pre- service training programme for the newly recruited civil judges at the Punjab Judicial Academy. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan of the Lahore High Court were also present on the occasion.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa asked the civil judges to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the courts by exhibiting a remarkable behaviour without an iota of prejudice or bias towards any one. “Deliver such kind of impartial judgments that even hostile people are forced to shower praise on you “, Justice Qazi said.
Earlier, Justice Saqib Nisar of the Supreme Court at the morning session delivered a thought provoking lecture regarding adjudication of civil disputes. He expressed grave concern over the delay of cases and exhorted upon the judges to strive hard to decide cases at the earliest.
Justice Saqib Nisar assured the judges of District Judiciary that they will get paternal affection and love as well as full backing from Supreme Court and High Court and are required to come up to the expectations of the masses by clearing the backlog of cases. He reminded the participant civil judges that people can forget the demise of their near and dear ones with the passage of time but not the delay in their cases.
“District Judiciary enjoyed a pivotal position in the judicial hierarchy of the country and the factor of delay can be curtailed by the comprehensive and just decisions that are meant to be upheld at the higher forums” Justice Saqib Nisar added.
Member of Board of Management of the Punjab Judicial Academy, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of the Lahore High Court speaking on the occasion said that result -oriented training courses with latest know how and expertise in the field of law were being designed for judges of the District Judiciary at the Academy.
Justice Mansoor also underlined the need for launching research work in the field of law and English language courses at the Academy . He advised the judges to deliver judgments without fear or favour purely on the touchstone of Constitution and they will get protection from the Lahore High Court.
Sohail Nasir Director General of the Academy threw light on the various activities of the Academy and thanked the guests. He asked the participant judges to get full use of knowledge being imparted at the Academy.
