Parliamentarians’ first priority should be national solidarity : Ch Shujaat Hussain

Ch Shujaat Hussain_MHS_March5-2014Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that first priority of the Members of the Parliament should be national security and solidarity and peoples’ problems.

He expressed these views while talking at the luncheon reception hosted by him in honour of the office-bearers of the Youth Parliament at Islamabad residence here today. PML senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi, Peoples Party and MQM Senators also attended the luncheon reception.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that in the prevailing circumstances, responsibilities of the peoples elected representatives have immensely increased, they should try to shoulder these responsibilities in a commendable manner, give due importance to the interests of the nation and the country and prefer these interests over their personal and party interests.

On this occasion Youth Parliament office-bearers while appreciating the peoples welfare services of the PML said that by starting Recue 1122 Service besides launching of various other peoples welfare programmes Ch Parvez Elahi as the Chief Minister had greatly benefitted the people for which no praise was enough. They said this service was benefitting all without any discrimination and life of the rich and poor were equally being saved.

Those who attended the luncheon reception included Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Senator Jahangir Badar, Senator Syed Tahir Hussain Mashadi, Senator Sehar Kamran, Senator Rubina Irfan, Senator Saeedul Hassan Mendokhel, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Wasim Sajjad, Syed Dilawar Abbas, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Rizwan Sadiq besides Youth Parliament President Tauseef Abbasi, Foreign Minister Saad Khan, Information Minister Hanna Anwar, Talal Almas, Education Minister Afzaal Chaudhry and Minister for Kashmir Affairs Abdul Qadir Abbasi among others.
