Govt. evading its responsibility on security : Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi,

Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi,Lahore: Acting  Ameer of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi, has said that the government had tried to evade its responsibility by calling upon the Taliban to point out the foreign group involved in the Islamabad terrorist activity.

In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that the performance of the government and security agencies against the foreign saboteurs was deplorable, and it was time that the security institutions and agencies changed their attitude and realized their responsibilities.

He said, so far, the government agencies felt themselves at ease simply by blaming the Taliban for every incident. On the other hand, he said,  thousands of RAW, CIA and Black Water agents moved freely without any documents and were even given VIP protocol, thus giving them free hand to carry out subversive activities. He said had the CIA agent Raymond Davis not been freed in such haste, the Black Water net work could have been broken and its subversive activities controlled.

Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi said that the security arrangements of the national institutions and sensitive places must be reviewed in order to foil the designs of US and Indian agents, because the enemy forces would try every method to obstruct the peace process.

The JI Acting chief said that law and order and security of the life and property of the masses were the foremost responsibility of the government in which the government had miserably failed.

He said that the Taliban had announced ceasefire unilaterally and in all sincerity and the government should trust them and mobilize its security agencies to improve their working. He said that the recent terrorist activities had been carried out by the enemy  who could not seek peace in the country.
