Lahore: All the leading Colleges and Universities of the province have confirmed their participation in the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF)’s National Anthem world record bid on 24th February 2014. All the arrangements for the Grand Event were reviewed on Wednesday in an important meeting held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Sports and Education, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.
Director General, Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Mr. Usman Anwar, MPA Tahia Noon, Higher Education Commission Secretary and officials of Punjab University, National University of Modern Languages Lahore, Kinnaird College, National College of Arts, King Edward Medical University, FAST, DPS, Hajvery University, Lahore Leads University, American Lyceum, Punjab Group of Colleges, Beacon House, University of Management and Technology, Islamia University Bahawalpur, University of Gujrat, LACAS, Salamat International Campus for Advance Studies, CFE College, COMSATS, University of Central Punjab, UVAS, Queen Marry College, University of Lahore, University of South Asia, University of Sargodha, The City School, BZU Lahore campus, Punjab School, SKANS, KIPS, Educators, UET, FC College, Superior University, Qarshi University and others attended the meeting held at the National Hockey Stadium.
During the meeting, Mr. Minister said: “The participants of this attempt of National Anthem World Record will remember this distinction as a biggest feat of their lives.” DG, SBP Mr. Usman Anwar informed the meeting that all the arrangements regarding the Mega Activity have been completed. “The best possible arrangements have been assured and the participating students will be provided best transportation and security. Almost 175,000 individuals will feature in this grand programme,” he added.
