1,75,000 Individuals To Sing National Anthem To Make A New World Record

Minister sports is being briefed about the arrangmentsmenLahore: The campaign for breaking and creating New World Records has gathered momentum in the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) 2014 where 29,040 youngsters have already formed the Largest Human Flag at the National Hockey Stadium on 15th February.

The arrangements are complete for another grand Guinness World Record (GWR) at the Punjab University New Campus where 175,000 will sing National Anthem on 24th February. Seating Arrangements for 100,000 is already in place at the site while 75,000 people will take part in this grand activity to break the World Record currently held by India. In 2013, Pakistan set the same record with over 42,000 youth but India notched up the feat with a grand figure of 1,21,653 people. On the same day and venue, Pakistan will also try to register World Record of most persons waving National Flags simultaneously with a massive figure of 1,50,000. Right now, this distinction lies with Spain which grabbed it with the help of 30,000 individuals.

The attempt to grab a record of the biggest Art Lesson of the world will also be made on 21th February . Previously, 4,810 people have achieved this distinction, however, Pakistan citizens will try to grab this mark with 6,000 painters.

On  22th February , Pakistan youth will try to clinch as many as 10 world records. At 1 pm, five persons will try to lift the Heaviest Weight With Nails. In this activity, all five participants will support each other’s body with nails. At 1:40 pm on the same day, an attempt will be made to dislodge as many cups with the kicks. The cups will be placed at another person’s head. Presently, this mark is with French David Sanio. After this, the PYF competitors will also try to achieve the World Record of most push-ups with back of hands. Furthermore, an attempt will also be made for most caps ups in break dance. Later on, Pakistani individuals will try to attain a world record by cracking 44 walnuts in one minute. In an attempt for another World Record of the day, most push-ups will be tried with back hand. For the 10 world record of the day, most push-ups will be made with finger tips.

On 23th February, the record of Hitting 65 Coconuts with Baseball Bat over a person’s head in one minute will be broken at the Sports Board Gymnasium while the records, which will be broken on the same day, are longest duration box splits between two objects for 3 minutes 48 seconds, 82 full body push-ups, longest time in an abdominal plank position with 100 lbs packs for two minutes and 55 seconds, most push-ups on four Swiss balls in one minute and most push-ups on arm with 40 lbs pack in one minute.

On 24th February, Captain M. Arbab will make an attempt to break the most push-ups in consecutive 24 hours and the footage will only be provided to the Guinness World Record (GWR) team. On the same day, Sohail Abbas will try to attempt the record of most push-ups in one hour, M. Nadeem and Sajjad Hussain will attempt the record of most push-ups on back of hands in one hour while Shahid Abbas and Zafar Iqbal will attempt to break the record of most push-ups in 12 hours continuously.

On 25th February , M. Ashraf will attempt to set new record of most pull-ups in Gym Training way in consecutive 24 hours, Sajjad Akram will try to attempt the record of most pull-ups in continuous 6 hours and similarly, M. Amjad and Kashif will also try to attempt their respective records to earn laurels for the country.

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Sports Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan chaired a special meeting regarding breaking the record of National Anthem at Punjab University ground. The meeting was attended by Director General Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Usman Anwar and other concerned officials. After the meeting, Mr. Mashhood along with his team checked the arrangements.

Talking to media, Mr. Mashood said: “Singing National Anthem with the participation of 1,75,000 will be a new Guinness World Record (GWR) which will bring a good name for all nation.” He urged the entire nation to come out and take part in the World Record breaking activity to make it a success. “The breaking of records is portraying good image of the country Internationally and we are getting greetings and congratulations from the entire world in this regard,” Mr. Mashood concluded
