PM asked intervene to save millions of CNG related jobs

Lahore: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Thursday said that SNGPL cheated the nation by claiming dearth of natural gas to achieve is own unholy designs.

SNGPL discontinued supply to CNG and other sectors on the pretext of insufficient gas in the system but after eleven days it restored supply to the industrial sector, it said.

The gas distribution company must tell masses that wherefrom it managed supply to the industry when there was no gas in the system, said Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha, Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA.

In a statement issued here today, he said that despite supply of natural gas to the industrial sector, the gas pack stands at 3000 which has never been experienced even in the summer.

But, he said, the bureaucracy is bent upon punishing masses by not restoring supply to the CNG sector, he observed.

It is amazing that government is ignoring the sector which should get gas round the year according to the agreements while preferring the sector which has signed agreement for supply of gas for nine months, Paracha said.

He said that CNG is the only sector which has no substitute for the natural gas and disconnection has brought it to the brink.

He asked the Prime Minister to intervene and resolve the issue which has put millions of jobs and billions of investments on stake.
