Spanish envoy calls on Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore: Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan Xavier Sanchez Called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi at their residence here today.

Heartily welcoming the Spanish envoy, Ch Shujat Hussain said that large number of Pakistanis are living in Spain in connection with employment. He expressed gratitude to the government and people of Spain through the envoy for playing host to these Pakistanis and providing them different facilities.

Ch Shujat Hussain stressed the need for further boosting the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Spain. He said in this regard, steps would have to be taken to promote mutual trade and economic relations so that Pakistan is helped in improving its economic situation.

Ch Parvez Elahi also thanked the Spanish envoy for the visit and expressed the hope that he would continue striving for further strengthening and closeness in the existing relations between Pakistan and Spain.

On this occasion, former District Nazim Gujrat Ch Shafaat Hussain, Ch Shafay Hussain and Ch Salik Hussain were also present.
