PTI to hold elections in KPK: Rana Sana

Rana Sana Ullah KhanLahore: Provincial Minister for Law & Local Government, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that if Imran Khan is really interested in elections in June, 2014, he should first hold elections in KPK, as it will expose the myth of his popularity. He said that solo flight of Tehrik-e-Insaf on serious national issues is against the larger interest of the country.

He was talking to media, here today. Referring to the statement of American Defence Minister on American aid, Rana Sanaullah said that Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has neither confirmed nor denied the statement. Therefore, provincial government can make no comment. He said that the matter regarding dissociation with America and NATO countries will have to be decided by the nation.

However, he said this decision will have to be made with national consensus. He said that as per schedule, local bodies elections will be held in Punjab on January 30. He said that if Sindh wants any change in the schedule it will have to move the Supreme Court. He said that Punjab has no intention of going to the Supreme Court in this regard.

Rana Sanaullah further said that foolproof security arrangements will be made for Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain and Rangers and Army will also remain on call. He said that change of thana culture is a gradual process and this cannot be done with on-off button. He said that change of social attitude is also necessary for a durable change in Thana culture.
