JI condemns Chuck Hagel’s warning

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan,  has condemned US Secretary of Defence Chuck Hagel’s warning that the blockade of NATO supplies could cause the blockade of US aid to the country.

While reacting to the US officials’ threat, he said that the NATO supplies had been blocked on the collective will of the Pakistani nation and if the rulers tried to deviate from that, they would have to pay heavily for that.

Syed Munawar Hasan said the beggarly rulers had sold out the national honour for dollars. He said the PML(N) leader Nawaz Sharif, in his election speeches, had assured the masses that NATO supplies and drone attacks would be stopped. However, on coming to power, he had gone back on his words and the government was continuing the policies of the previous rulers.

He said the whole world including international bodies were condemning the killing of innocent people in drone attacks but instead of stopping these, Washington was black mailing Islamabad.

The JI Ameer impressed upon the government not to accept any pressure on drone attacks.

He said, the US aid was actually a trap that compromised national sovereignty and must be thrown out by adopting the policy of self reliance, which however could be achieved by adopting austerity.
