Female students should participate in games: Hameeda Waheed ud Din

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed ud Din has said that the female students besides curricular activities should also participate in extracurricular activities and represent the country at international level.

She was addressing 9^th Women Football Championship at Punjab Stadium, here today. Provincial Minister said that God has blessed Pakistani women with lot of potentials and are serving in every important sector. She said that women have proved their metal by representing Pakistan in every sector and won laurels for the country.

Hameeda Waheed ud Din stressed upon the women players to utilize their energies for the development of the country. She said that government has taken a number of practical steps for bringing the women into main stream of development. She said that women feel more confidence after the implementation of women package.

Earlier, the Minister was introduced to the women football teams of Islamabad and Army which played for third position. Hameeda Waheed ud Din encouraged the players and assured them of full cooperation of the government for their empowerment.
