Elected representatives to visit bazaars for checking prices of essential items

CM PUNJAB-1 (10)Lahore: Members National and Provincial Assemblies of various districts met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. They included Members National Assembly Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Muhammad Raza Hayyat Hiraj, Members Provincial Assembly Qaswar Langrial, Rana Abdul Rauf, Mian Fida Hussain Wattoo and Mrs. Joyce Rofan Julice.

 Talking to the parliamentarians, the Chief Minister said that they should play their active role for ensuring provision of daily use items at fixed rates as heavy responsibility lies on elected representatives and office-bearers of Pakistan Muslim League-N to provide relief to the masses. He directed the elected representatives and PML-N office-bearers to visit bazaars and markets for checking prices of essential items. He said that it is not time to sit in homes or offices but they should remain present in the field for providing relief to the people.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has decided to launch Punjab Khidmat Programme for lessening the economic burden on poorest segments of the society which will be implemented from January 2014. He said that under this programme, one thousand rupees per month will be given to each poorest family. He said that due to this revolutionary programme of Punjab government, poorest families will get relief.
