CTO Multan molested a Lady Traffic Warden

Lahore High Court on Saturday took notice on a press report that City Traffic Officer (CTO) Multan molested a Lady Traffic Warden and she conceived. District & Sessions Judge, Multan has been directed to look into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, a Lady Traffic Warden appeared before the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan and stated that some time ago CTO/SP Malik Nazar Abbas assaulted her at his office and in an under construction house due to which she got pregnant. Accused CTO threatened her to keep silent. But owing to severe mental stress she approached City Police Officer (CPO) Multan and told the whole incident. The CPO showed great interest in her ordeal and rather providing justice, started pressurizing her to reconcile the matter. According to news report, RPO, on the statement of the victim, has forwarded the matter to the Inspector General of Police Punjab for taking action against the said accused.

LHC Complaint Cell took notice of the news on administrative side and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report in a week.
