Drs show concern on security conditions at Punjab public hospitals

Lahore: Security conditions at Punjab public hospitals is in a deplorable status and torture on Professor Dr. Aslam at LGH today by unknown persons has created a question mark on security of public hospitals. PMA condemns the incident and is of great concern for doctors community. The situation is unacceptable for doctor’s community.

The sentiments were observed by office bearers of PMA in an emergency meeting at PMA House Lahore. The meeting was charied by President Dr. Muhammad Tanveer Anwar. The meeting was attended by Dr. Izhar Ahmad Ch., Dr. Shahid Malik, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Nizami, Dr. Abrar Ashraf Ali, Dr. Umar Farooq Baloch, Dr. Asma Yasin, Dr. Kamran Saeed, Dr. Sabahat Habib, Dr. Qazi Yasir, Dr. Aleem Nawaz, Dr. Wajid Ali and executive members of PMA.

The office bearers demanded the government should come forward with a clear security policy for public hospitals, otherwise it would be impossible for doctor’s community to offer services. The office bearers also demanded arrest of culprits who were responsible for torture on Prof. Dr. Aslam of LGH.
