20kg flour bag will be sold at the ex-mill rate of Rs. 765 per bag

Lahore: Punjab government has decided to provide 20kg flour bag at ex-mill rate in Sastay Bazaars throughout the province. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif gave approval to this decision in a high level meeting here today.

The Chief Minister said that all out measures would be taken to provide relief to the common man and 20kg atta bag would be available in Sastay Bazaars at the ex-mill rate of Rs. 765 per bag.

The Chief Minister issued instructions to concerned departments to take necessary measures for stability of atta prices and said that there should not be increase of even a single penny in the price of flour. He directed that besides abundant supply of atta bags in Sastay bazaars throughout the province, quality of atta should also be ensured.

Taking notice of non-construction of silos for the storage of wheat, the Chief Minister issued instructions to Food Department for immediate construction of silos. He said that it is unfortunate that a province which procures 40 lakh tons wheat annually could not construct silos on time for the storage of wheat. He directed that the project of construction of silos be expedited as it will curb pilferage of wheat as well as help in its storage through a modern method.
