Nawaz Sharif is working on the agenda of the US

JI-MunawwarHasanLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s offer to India for doing away with the visa restrictions  between the two countries gave rise to the apprehension that he was working on the agenda of the Indian Congress and not of the Pakistan Muslim League.

Taking strong exception to the Prime Minister’s statement at the international Literacy and Cultural Conference in the city on Saturday in this regard, he said such an  offer virtually meant doing way with the Pak-India border. He said, had Mian Nawaz Sharif talked on this issue during the election campaign, the election results would have been totally different.

Syed Munawar Hasan said unfortunately, after coming into power for the third time, Mian Nawaz Sharif was working on the agenda of the US and India, adding that the US wanted to build India as regional policeman.

He said, India’s record for the last 66 years proved that it was trying hard to undo this country. He said the JI also desired good relations with the neighbouring countries but such an effort could not be one sided. He pointed out that whenever Pakistan extended hand of friendship towards New Delhi in the past, the latter rejected it with arrogance. The JI also wanted the solution of the issues of Kashmir and river water through dialogue but India had always used dialogue simply as a delaying tactic.

Even at present, India was supplying arms and funds in Balochistan and FATA to destabilize this country. In the face of all these bitter facts, Mian Nawaz Shjarif’s offer for removing visa restrictions would only make this country the play ground for the Indiana gents.

The JI Ameer said that Mian Nawaz Sharif had been talking high of ex Indian Premier A. B. Vajpaee saying that Mr Vajpaee had sincerely desired solution of the Kashmir issue. Syed Munawar Hasan said the PML(NP leader seemed to be totally ignorant of the Hindu mentality and the Chankya politics. He warned the Prime Minister to drop such a plan as was totally unacceptable for the Pakistani nation, and added that ties with India must be on the basis of equality

Meanwhile, Syed Munawar Hasan, has welcomed the Supreme Court orders for  registering cases against the NAB Chairman  besides leading politicians and bureaucrats in the NICL mega corruption scandal. He said the apex court order had proved that both the PPP and the PML(N) were entrenched in corruption and had been shielding each other’s loot and plunder of public wealth that had been exposed by the judiciary.
