Medical experts to find out permanent solution to dengue problem

Lahore: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique has stressed upon medical experts to find out permanent solution to dengue problem so that full attention could be paid to the eradication of other diseases.

He said this while presiding over a meeting of Technical Advisory Committee on Dengue, here today. Special Secretary Health Babar Hayat Tarar, Additional Director General Health Dengue Control Dr.Jaafar Ilyas, Dr. Anjum of Institute of Public Health, EDO Health Lahore Dr. Zulfiqar and other officers attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Khawaja Salman Rafique said that doctors and nurses are performing their duties diligently in the treatment of dengue patients. The meeting also reviewed the steps of dengue surveillance and case response in high risk union councils with regard to reporting dengue cases. EDO Health told that additional staff and Entomologists have been provided for indoor dengue surveillance and case response in Nishtar Town and Cantt Town.
