Lahore: Italian Ambassador in Pakistan Adriano Chiodi Cianfarani called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here today. Matters of mutual interest and cooperation in various sectors were discussed during the meeting. Talking to Italian Ambassador, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is facing energy shortage and energy crisis has affected all sectors of life including education, health and agriculture. He said that government is taking serious steps for overcoming energy crisis.
The Chief Minister said that vast opportunities of investment exist in agriculture, livestock, energy and other sectors in Punjab. He said that a conducive atmosphere has been created for investment in the province and all facilities are being provided to the investors under one roof. Shahbaz Sharif stressed the need of taking steps for increasing trade between Italy and Pakistan. He said that all possible facilities and incentives would be given to the Italian investors.
Italian Ambassador assured on the occasion that all possible steps would be taken for the promotion of trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Italy and exchange of trade delegations between both countries is vital in this regard.
