Assembly members to give more importance to local bodies elections

Lahore:  Member National Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has stressed upon the public representatives of PML-N to make service to the people as their motto and maintain unity in their ranks so that like general and bye-elections, people should express their confidence and elect them for their representation in local bodies election.

He expressed these views while talking to members of national and provincial assemblies of various districts regarding preparation of local bodies elections at central secretariat of PML-N, Model Town today. Tehmina Doltana, Ch. Nazeer Ahmad, Saeed Minhais, Saood Majeed, Yousaf Kasailia, Naeem Bhabha, Tahir Iqbal, Bilal Bhatti, Farrah Manzoor, Liaquat Chatha, Imran Goraya and other leaders attended the meeting.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif stressed upon the assembly members to give more importance to local bodies elections than general elections and spare no effort in resolving public problems as service to the masses is the mission of PML(N) leadership. He said the old workers of the party and colleagues should not be ignored while making preparation of local bodies election and by setting aside mutual differences, such a strategy based on brotherhood should be evolved as should result in winning local bodies elections.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that party leadership  would constitute a committee for the selection of suitable candidates in local bodies elections which will bring such candidates with consensus through consultative process. He said that party leadership is taking local bodies elections seriously and making efforts that such public representatives should be brought forward who should make sincere efforts for resolving peoples’ problems and coming up to their expectations so that the foundations of PML-N should be strengthened in the people and Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif become the guarantee of development and prosperity of the country.
