PM is least concern about the internal situation of the country

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the country was afire but the Prime Minister was least worried about the internal situation of the country..

In a statement here on Wednesday, he said that the PML(N) leader Nawaz Sharif , after coming into powder through false promises and hollow slogans, had been mostly busy abroad and cut off from the problems within the country.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that after the Rawalpindi tragedy, the Prime Minister should have cut off his visit abroad and returned home as the country was facing a threat of wide spread disturbances. The alarming situation required Prime Minister’s direct involvement for mobilizing the state institutions to promote national unity and harmony and bringing the national leadership at one platform so as to minimize tension and improve the situation. However, he said, it seemed that the Prime Minister was more worried about his international agenda and the US interests than the internal situation of the country.

The JI Ameer welcomed the orders of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for the recovery of the bank loans written off on political considerations. He said that all those who had plundered public wealth must also be brought to accountability and every illegal penny be recovered from them. He said that several countries of the world had recovered the wealth plundered by their rulers lying in Swiss banks. If the present government was sincere to the country and the nation, it must take necessary measures for the recovery of the billions of dollars of the past rulers, politicians and bureaucrats deposited in Swiss banks. Such a bold step would enable the country to pay off the foreign loans and get rid of the IMF, he added.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that the remarks of the Supreme Court as also the High Court of the Khyber P,. regarding the rulers attitude and the masses sufferings on account of price hike and rising electricity tariff were the true reflection of the situation across the country.
