Experts to ensure cheaper electricity: Ch Sher Ali

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minerals, Ch. Sher Ali has said that complete data of exploration of national mineral reserves on modern and scientific lines and their conservation will be compiled. He said that all out resources will be utilized to benefit from coal, iron and other minerals so that these could be used for development of energy sector.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting in connection with national mineral reserves, here today. Additional Secretary Minerals Tahir Raza Hamdani, Deputy Secretary Minerals and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

Ch. Sher Ali said that best utilization of mineral reserves is need of the hour to ensure national development. He said that we have to work on modern lines to achieve maximum positive results. The Minister said that benefit will be taken from the services of national and foreign experts for better utilization of mineral reserves to avoid wastage of precious time and resources. He said that government will expedite its efforts to utilize coal so that provision of immediate and cheaper electricity could be ensured.

The Minister said that Minerals Department will hire the services of the experts to compile data of research work. The officers present on the occasion, assured their fullest cooperation for best performance.
