Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has expressed deep grief over the violent clashes in Kohat in reaction to the Rawalpindi tragedy, resulting three deaths including two police men.
In a statement here on Monday, he appealed to the masses to stand united to foil the evil designs of the enemies of Islam and Pakistan who were out to plunge the country into a civil war by creating widespread sectarian violence.
In fact, he said, the enemy was trying to find an excuse for taking over Pakistan’s nuclear assets. He said the Ulema from all schools of thought and sects as also the masses must demonstrate complete unity and unanimity to foil the enemy designs.
Syed Munawar Hasan also appealed to the political and religious parties and the social circles to realize their responsibilities for the promotion of national unity and Muslim brotherhood. He said if the government representatives and national leaders did not discharge their duty in this regard, the enemy might be successful in its plans.
However, he expressed the hope that the patriotic and dutiful people of the Pakistan would rise to the occasion and foil every conspiracy against national unity and solidarity.
