Liaqat Baloch see foreign hand in Rawalpindi Incident

Lahore: Jamaat e Islami Secretary general, Liaqat Baloch who is also Secretary General of the Milli  Yakjehti Council, has termed the Rawalpindi incident a national tragedy and called for deterrent punishment to all those involved and also the negligent officials.

In a statement here on Sunday, he said that all the security officials who had been negligent and inefficient must be handed down exemplary punishment . He said although the religious parties were appealing to the people to remain peaceful   however, the federal and the provincial governments besides the Interior Ministry should take practical steps to satisfy the students, the teachers , the traders and the people affected by the incident.

At the same time, he said, a national strategy must be adopted to curb the menace of sectarianism being fanned by foreign powers and internal elements. He said the rulers must give due attention to the internal situation of the country . He said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have cancelled his visit abroad and return home because the rulers could not achieve any thing abroad when the house was afire. He said the foreign hand behind the sectarian must be exposed.

Liaqat Baloch further said that the JI and the MYC had nothing to do with the debate between the Sunni Ittehad Council and the TTP.
