JI complaints PM against ISPR

Liaqat Baloch is talking to mediaLahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, said here today that obedience of the constitution was imperative for all the institutions including the armed forces as there was no martial law in the country at present.

He said if the armed forces were hurt on any activity of the Jamaat e Islami, they should have taken up the matter with the Defense Ministry or directly contacted the JI, and there was no occasion for issuing a press release. He was addressing the JI central workshop at Mansoora on Wednesday,

Liaqat Baloch said, the Jamaat e Islami had been fighting shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for the country’s defense and independence and thousand of its workers had offered their blood in Bangladesh, Kashmir and Afghanistan. However, he said, confusion was being created by the vested interests for ulterior motives.

The JI Secretary General said that the armed forces officers and Jawans who had offered their lives for the defense of the country were the heroes of the nation. He said the Jamaat letter to the Prime Minister on the issue would be delivered today.

Liaqat Baloch said, after the APC, the unanimous demand of the nation had been to go ahead with talks with the Taliban besides end to the NATO supplies and drone attacks. However, these issues had been dragged into unnecessary controversy.

Liaqat Baloch said, the US and the secular lobbies was trying hard to shatter the national unity in the country through the westernized NGOs by offering them dollars and these NGOs were raising new issues every now and then in order to plunge the country into confusion and anarchy.
