Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif took a detailed briefing about the security arrangements and implementation on security plan on the occasion of Yaum-e-Ashur from nine Divisional Commissioners and Regional Police Officers through video link, here today.
Ministers, Commissioners, RPOs and concerned administrative officers in the Divisional Commissioners’ offices while Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah Khan, Col. Retd. Shuja Khanzada, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Home Secretary and concerned senior officers attended the meeting at the central control room of Civil Secretariat.
In his address through video link for more than three hours, the Chief Minister while directing police to perform duties diligently and making security arrangements more than previous years in view of the present situation of the country said that government has taken all possible steps for maintaining law and order during Muharram ul Haram and expressed the hope that these efforts would yield positive results.
The Chief Minister’s address through video conference to nine Divisional Commissioners and Regional Police Officers at a time is a unique example which will help improve security arrangements of Muharram ul Haram in various divisions.
