Lahore: Provincial Minister for Health, Khalil Tahir Sindhu has said that owners of all institutions including private hospitals should ensure implementation on anti-dengue regulations and don’t let accumulate water, remove construction material and garbage so that the chances of breeding of dengue mosquito could be eliminated.
He said this during his visit to private hospitals including Malik Chiragh Din Hospital, Lifeline Hospital and Geo Hospital on Bedian Road, today. The Minister reviewed the cleanliness arrangements on this occasion. Construction and repair work is continuing in these hospitals where construction material is lying. The owners told that at present there is no dengue patient in the hospitals and due to construction work they are not admitting patients. Health Minister also visited Bukhari Surgical Hospital on Bedian Road which was locked.
Later, Khalil Tahir Sindhu visited Doctors Hospital Johar Town and expressed his satisfaction over cleanliness arrangements. Hospital Administrator Dr. Zahid Mohayyuddin told the one dengue patient is under treatment in the hospital and his condition is satisfactory which will be discharged in a day or two. Dr. Zahid Mohayyuddin appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in connection with treatment of dengue patients and eradication of dengue and said that Doctors Hospital stands with the Chief Minister Punjab in the war against dengue. He told that Doctors Hospital has conducted CBC tests of more than 35 thousand people in 2011.
Health Minister said that government is continuing awareness campaign regarding dengue through media and public representatives, government officials, volunteers and lady health workers are providing awareness door to door.
