Speaker notice IG Punjab shut up call to MNA Chaudhary Nisar

Lahore: The National Assembly referred the privilege motion moved by Member National Assembly (MNA) Faisalabad Dr. Chaudhary Nisar Ahmad Jatt against Deputy Superintendent General Post Office (GPO) Faisalabad Nauman Salah-ud-Din Wardag on allegations of pointing gun at him in his office, using abusive language, threatening him for dire consequences, disgracing and misbehaving with him.

In the privilege motion, Dr. Chaudhary Nisar claimed that “the Inspector General (IG) Police Punjab Khan Baig implicated him in a false case in Rail Bazaar Faisalabad police station under sections 506-B, 181, 148/149 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)”.

“The speaker National Assembly Ayyaz Sadiq declared the privilege motion in order as per rules of the business of National Assembly pertaining to the privilege of the National Assembly Member”.

“The Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has not opposed the motion. Consequently, the speaker national assembly assigned to the privilege committee of the National Assembly to probe into the allegations leveled by MNA Dr. Nisar Ahmad”.

In his privilege motion, Dr. Nisar alleged that “on 7^th October is called Deputy Superintendent GPO Nauman Wardag through his official number 041-9201155. The PA of Deputy Superintendent GPO attended the phone call and despite I introduced myself as MNA Dr. Nisar, the Deputy Superintendent GPO Nauman Wardag not only insulted and disgraced me but also abused me severely on telephone”.

“The Deputy Superintendent GPO Nauman Wardag also ordered me to come on office if I have some work with him. When I went to GPO, the Deputy Superintendent Nauman Wardag loaded his rifle and pointed on me and also abused me once again”.

Dr. Nisar further alleged in his privilege motion that “IG Punjab Khan Baig was angry with me as I had moved an application to Chief Minister Punjab against the misappropriation in the Promotional Board with was working under the supervision of IG Punjab”.

“Over this anger, the IG Punjab implicated me in a false case registered with Rail Bazaar Faisalabad police station vide FIR No.506/13 on October 29 under sections 506-B, 181, 148/149 of PPC so that I could face the reward of the application moved to CM Punjab against the misappropriation of Promotional Board”, Dr. Nisar added in his privilege motion.
