Govt is eliminating poor rather than poverty: Ch Parvez Elahi

The meeting was also addressed by PML Punjab Senior Vice-President Muhammad Basharat Raja and General Secretary Ch Zaheeruddin Khan. Ch Parvez Elahi questioned suspending gas supply for three months and said that this decision of the govt will render thousands of families jobless and they would suffer extreme financial problems.

Appreciating the performance of the party’s Lawyers, Traders, Farmers, Women, Ulema, Minorities, Labour and Youth Wings, Ch Parvez Elahi said that they are invaluable assets of the party. He said the Lawyers Wing in particular deserves felicitations for our candidate had this time also won in the recently held Supreme Court Bar election like in the past adding that Insha-Allah, the party candidates will also be successful in the Lahore High Court Bar election.

Continuing, Ch Parvez Elahi said that increase in the prices of every item in particular of the eatable items has deprived the people of even two times meals. He said that now the people will not be trapped by the false promises of N-League. Addressing the gathering, Muhammad Basharat Raja and Ch Zaheeruddin Khan said that ideal steps taken for welfare and well-being of lawyers, farmers, workers, traders, youth, ulema, minorities, sportsmen, artists and women besides the common man during his tenure are the great achievements of Ch Parvez Elahi Govt.

They said that the govt of Ch Parvez Elahi in Punjab had started Prosecution Service for the welfare of the lawyers, funds were distributed for the first time without any discrimination among the bars at the tehsil level, lawyers were also provided housing colonies and free treatment facilities, farmers were given subsidy, water channels were concreted, tractors, fertilizers and agricultural implements were provided at cheap rates, water theft was checked, plan was prepared for setting up of 38 power plants at the canals whereas liberal funds were also given for the minorities, their educational institutions were returned while social security hospital, labour colonies for workers. housing colonies for journalists were established and special funds were allocated for these purposes.

Muhammad Basharat Raja announced that the process of organization of the party has started and in this regard wings organizing meetings will be held in Rawalpindi on November 17, Gujranwala on November 20. Bahawalnagar on November 23 and in Sahiwal on November 25.

The meeting was attended by Nasir Mahmud Gill, Seemal Kamran, Alamgir advocate, Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi, Syeda Majida Zaidi, Shaikh Umar Hayat, Ch Azmatullah, Rana Intezar Hussain, Sh Asif Saeed, Ajmal Zia Cheema, Malik Muhammad Yiusuf, Arif Javed Khokhar, Ishtiaq Gohar, Hafiz Maqsood Anwar, Malik Faraz Awan and Naveedd Zafar among others. “Fateha khwani” for the departed soul of journalist Akhtar Hayat was also offered on the occasion.
