Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha advises Bilawal to study history

Lahore: A Jamaat e Islami spokesman on Wednesday, took strong exception to the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s outburst against JI and its Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan, and said the study of history would prove that it was the PPP that was full of traitors and not the JI.

The Spokesman, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, said had Bilawal glanced through history, he would have known that while the JI had rendered unparalleled sacrifices to avert the fall of Pakistan’s eastern wing, Bilawal’s maternal grand father and PPP’s founder Z.A. Bhutto had played the key role in the dismemberment of Pakistan by raising the slogan of “ Idher Hum, Udhar Tum, ” and also threatening to chop off the legs of National Assembly members who dared to go to Dhaka to attend NA session there. The whole nation knew that Z.A. Bhutto was the biggest culprit in the break up of the biggest Muslim state in the world.

Similarly, he said, Bilawal’s mother Benazir Bhutto had sabotaged the Sikhs movement for Khalistan by providing the lists of leading Sikh freedom fighters to Indian government which served India’s interest and delayed the solution of the Kashmir issue.

Dr Farid Piracha said that whoever had thrust the US over Pakistan and supported the US war was a  traitor, while all those who were fighting against the US were the freedom fighters and Mujahdeeen.

He noted that prior to his martyrdom, Hakimullah Mehsud had been busy in paving the way for the talks with the Taliban groups at the behest of the Pakistan government. He pointed out that all political parties of the country, including the PPP attending the APC, had unanimously called for talks with the Taliban but the US drone attack had sabotaged the whole process of talks.

The JI Spokesman further said if Bilawal Bhutto was of the view that Hakimullah Mehsud  had a hand in the killing of his mother, why the PPP government led by Asif Ali Zardari remained silent on this issue during its five year rule. Why did not Bilawal ask his father to bring to book his mother’ killers, he asked.

Farid Piracha said that Z.A. Bhutto’s fascist tactics failed to obliterate the JI, similarly Bilawal’s dream to wipe out the JI would never materialize.
