Lahore would be made the safest city: Bilal Yaseen

Minister Food-2Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yaseen has said that foolproof security arrangements should be made in all markets of central Lahore.

He said this while presiding over a meeting held in connection with security of central Lahore. DSPs Islampura, Shafiqabad, Lower Mall, Civil Lines, Old Anarkali, AC City Abdullah Nayyer and TMO were also present on the occasion.

Provincial Minister directed that security arrangements of central Lahore should be further improved and there should be no laxity in this regard. He said that illegal encroachments should be removed from the markets for ensuring foolproof security arrangements. He directed that CCTV cameras should be installed in bazaars and regular checking of these cameras be ensured. The Minister directed that besides private security guards, police officials should also be posted in entry and exit points of main bazaars to avoid any untoward incident.

Bilal Yaseen directed AC City to remove illegal encroachments from main bazaars of the city within two days which included Islampura, Hall Road, Anarkali and Karim Park bazaars for minimizing the security threats.

The Provincial Minister asked the office-bearers of traders’ association to set up control rooms in the offices of association and install cameras. They assured the Food Minister that control rooms will be set up and cameras installed within two days. The Minister also issued instructions to further improve security arrangements at Anarkali Food Street.
