Lahore: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has nominated Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif as head of Pakistani delegation to attend Global Snow Leopard Conservation Forum to be held in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan Republic from October 22 to 23, 2013.
One representative each from Federal government, Khyber Pakhtoon Khawa, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir is included in the delegation. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has been closely involved in wildlife conservation and helping victims of leopard attacks.
Pakistan is one of the twelve states that has snow leopard habitat. The purpose of this global conference is to address challenges related to ecosystem protection of snow leopards. Hamza Shahbaz Shahbaz will bear all expenses of his own and his staff on this visit.
