Lahore: Judicial Commission of Pakistan approved seven names for appointment of additional judges in Lahore High Court. A meeting of the Judicial Commission was held under the Chair of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary today in Supreme Court at Islamabad to consider the cases for the appointments of judges in the Lahore High Court.
LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial presented 7 names for the said purpose. Among the nominees are the two District And Sessions Judges Arshad Malik Tabassum and Tariq Abbasi along with lawyers Muhammad Ahmad Bhatti, Masood Jahangir, Sadaqat Ali Khan, Shahid Nadeem Kahlun and Sohail Iqbal Bhatti. Currently, there are 39 judges working at LHC against a sanctioned strength of 60.
