Water accumulated under Samanabad Town nose

Minister Food (1)Lahore: Chairman Samanabad Town Response Committee on Dengue, Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad MNA while taking serious notice of the water accumulated under Water Filtration Plants in Town has directed WASA authorities to drain the water within three days and submit him a report in this regard.

He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting regarding Anti- Dengue Campaign held at Samanabad Town, here today. Town Officers and higher authorities of Health, Social Welfare, Education Departments, WASA and Solid Waste Management Company were present on the occasion.

Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad directed the authorities of Health Department to expedite the campaign of identifying the expected places of breeding of dengue larva besides destroying it. He said that dengue larva was found in the hostels of Punjab University during the previous Anti- Dengue campaign therefore a report be submitted to him after re-checking the hostels.

Town Municipal Officer Samanabad, Imtiaz Awan submitted a report regarding sealing of Bus Body Maker Workshop Bund Road upon detection of dengue larva there and proceedings against the owner under Dengue Regulations.

Chairman Samanabad Town Emergency Response Committee Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad directed Solid Waste Management Company and WASA authorities to make up for the shortage of garbage containers besides replacing the broken covers of manholes in union council-90 Babu Sabu. He directed the authorities of Education Department to especially check educational institutions in union councils 84, 90 and 91 besides submitting him a report about zero period in these schools and the students wearing half sleeves shirts.

Mehr Ishtiaz Ahmad also directed the officers of Social Welfare and Anti Dengue Departments to expedite the campaign for creating awareness among masses besides spreading this message to every nook and corner.
