Terrorism can be defeated with education:Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: Central leader of Muslim League-N Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, MNA, has said that education is the only weapon with which terrorism can be defeated. He said that such education will be imparted to the youth which would enable them to give jobs instead of look for employment opportunities. He said that Muslim League-N will try to create an economically self sufficient and self reliant Pakistan. He said that the young generation is talented and the government will provide them resources to move forward.

He was addressing the students at the inaugural ceremony of 7^thannual exhibition of research projects arranged Dice Council at University of Gujrat today. Vice Chancellor Porf. Dr. Nizam ud Din, Chairman Dice Council Khurshid Qureshi, Prof. Dr. Sohail Naqvi of LUMS, Dr. Mudassar Israr and Mr. Richard of British Council also spoke on the occasion. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that billions of dollars have been lost in the ongoing war against terrorism and thousands of army jawans and citizens have sacrificed their lives.

He said that a blood bath is being enacted almost daily in Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta and Waziristan. He said that Pakistan is a nuclear power and the country of 19 crore people and it is time to decide the future of the country. He said that Pakistani nation will thwart the evil designs of the enemies of the country.

He said that even impossible tasks can be achieved with sincerity of purpose. He said metro bus project was completed in 22 months in Turkey, while the same project was executed in Lahore within 11 months under the leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Similarly, dengue virus was controlled by Punjab government through round the clock efforts and 25 thousand human lives were saved and this achievement surprised even the Srilankan and Thai experts.

He said that energy crisis the biggest challenge being faced by the country, however, the government is determined to resolve this problem and supply inexpensive electricity so that the local industry could compete in the international market. He said 6 coal based power plants are being set up in Godani for generating 6600 electricity.

He said that during the tenure of last government, a new scandal came to the fore almost daily and even Hajies were not spared while all institutions were destroyed.  He said that Muslim League-N government will find suitable persons for the revival of these institutions. He announced that the land of the university will be acquired while funds will be provided for the construction of class rooms and residences. He said that link road of University of Gujrat will be constructed on the pattern of motorway.

Assembly Members Nawabzada Mazhar Ali Khan, Nawabzada Haider Mehdi, Ch. Abid Raza and Ch. Shabbir Raza were also present on the occasion.

Later, Hamza Shabaz Sharif inaugurated Muslim League House in Gujrat.  Addressing the workers, he said that local bodies elections are coming close and the workers will be given due respect and honour at union council level. He said that PML-N workers should prepare for local bodies elections. He said that a network of development projects will be laid in the area and he will personally supervise the schemes. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif and his team is striving to resolve the problems being faced by the country and energy crisis will be resolved before the next general elections.  .
