Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today telephoned Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani and expressed sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Major General Sanaullah and his companions as a result of terrorist activity in the area of Dir.
The Chief Minister said that the whole nation is grieved over the martyrdom of officers of Pak Army at the hand of terrorists. He said that the people of the country are standing shoulder to shoulder with the Pak Army and their sympathies are with the families of the martyrs.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said in a statement that there are strong sentiments of anger and anguish in every member of the society against the perpetrators of this terrorist act who deserve no leniency and must be dealt with an iron hand. He said that these criminals will be punished in this world and the world hereafter.
The Chief Minister said that terrorists responsible for this tragic incident are enemies of Pakistan as well as Islam and these deaths are a collective loss of the nation.
