Secretary Health orders immediate recruitment for Government Shahdarah Hospital

Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab, Hassan Iqbal has directed publication of advertisement in newspapers for immediate recruitment on vacant posts of consultants and medical officers in Government Shahdarah Hospital.

He issued this direction during his visit to the hospital today. Member Punjab Assembly Kh. Salman Rafiq also accompanied Secretary Health.

Hassan Iqbal directed Medical Superintendent Dr. Asim Hameed to contact the concerned authorities for an early suigas connection for the hospital and consult him wherever required. He also directed to make the dialysis unit functional besides sending him the names of the officials for training of dialysis technician in a teaching hospital for operating this unit. MS of the hospital informed that the bed sheets and other clothes are being cleaned through washing machines.

Secretary Health said that till the time a laundry plant is installed at Government Shahdarah Hospital, the laundry of Ganga Ram Hospital may be used for this purpose and issued immediate instructions to the medical superintendent in this regard. He directed to post general surgeon at Shahdarah Hospital on rotation basis to run the hospital amicably till the recruitment of new doctors.

MS informed that there is no shortage of sterilization of medical equipment in the hospital as sufficient autoclaves are present there. MPA Kh. Salman Rafiq said on the occasion that Government Shahdarah Hospital is a gift by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for the people of Shahdrah and surrounding areas and all the problems regarding its reconstruction would be resolved gradually.
