Field officers to adopt all measures for the prevention of dengue:IG Punjab

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Khan Baig issued instructions to all field police officers to adopt all precautionary measures for prevention of dengue virus in their respective police lines, police station, hostels, training centers, police containers, messes, motor transport wings and store rooms so that to protect the force from it.

He also directed to the officers that pesticides both for larva’s killing and mosquitoes must be procured. He also instructed that the barracks of Jawans must be kept clean and mosquito free and all kind of waste, water puddles, M.T buildings, police stores and discarded tyres, must be cleared of potential larva by using non-chemical like sand cleaning, draining of water.

He also directed the officers to maintain liason with the Municipal Authorities, Health Department for provision of pesticides and other sprays.
