No compromise will be made in providing safe travelling:DIG Mirza Shakil

Lahore: No compromise will be made in providing safe and secure travelling environment and extending timely and effective help to the road users travelling on national highways and motorways.  This was said Mirza Shakil Ahmad, Deputy Inspector General NH&MP while addressing a Police Darbar at Multan.  SSP Ghluam Jaffer was also present on the occasion.

Mirza Shakil Ahmad said honest, efficient and hardworking officers would be given respect and corrupt officer would be taken to task. He said lane discipline on national highways be ensured by keeping the heavy and slow moving vehicles in discipline. He further said patrolling standards on highways & Motorways would be improved as per international standards and no underage and without license driver would be allowed to travel on motorways and at highways

He further said providing help and guidance to the commuters, besides their counseling, was the hallmark of Motorway Police and it should be continued in all circumstances. He asked the officers of NH&MP to show patience and work hard as more vehicles will break down on road in the current hot season. He laid stress on quick and timely response to Helpline 130 Call.  e He said that it is the prime responsibility of NH&MP in providing safe and secure travelling to the road users. The DIG Central also listened to the problems faced by the officers and issued necessary instructions to redress their grievances.
