Rescuers spend busy day in Lahore on Independence Day

Lahore: In commemoration of Pakistan Independence Day, a flag hoisting OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAceremony was held at Emergency Services Academy, Main Ferozepur Road, on Wednesday. The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Director Admin Brigadier (r) Dr. Arshad Zia, Provincial Monitoring Officer Dr. Yayha Butt, Deputy Director HR Dr. Fooad Shahzad Mirza, Deputy Director Finance Naeem Mukhtar, Head of Law Wing Ali Hassan, DEO Training Dr. Khalid Abdullah, Deputy Director Fire Noman Noor, Investigation and Monitoring Officer Muhammad Ahsan, Head of Community Safety Wing Ms Roqia Bano, Social Welfare Officer Ms Sumera Liaqat, Assistant Directors, rescue instructors and other rescue officers participated in the ceremony.

DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer offered special prayers for solidarity, prosperity and a Safer Pakistan. He said that Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal achieved this homeland for us to live and practice our customs and religious activities as an independent nation. Unity, faith, discipline and commitment to duty of the nation can change the destiny of Pakistan, he said, adding only weak nations held other guilty of their faults. Dr. Rizwan Naseer further said we should analyze what we are giving to Pakistan.

Rescuers made heartfelt speeches and sang national anthem & songs with pledges for establishing safer communities in Pakistan and to ensure a country where people could safely work, travel and live.
