Objectives of the creation of Pakistan still not achieved:Shahbaz Sharif

Shahbaz Sharif2Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has felicitated the nation on the 67th Independence Day and said that Pakistan is a result of heroic struggle and supreme sacrifices of millions of Muslims. He said that the Muslims of the sub-continent led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah dreamt of a country where they would lead their lives in accordance with the teachings of Islam and all facilities of life would be available to them without any discrimination.  He said that on 14th August there is a need to renew the pledge that every sacrifice would be made for the achievement of the objectives of creation of the country and translating the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal into reality.

In his message on Independence Day, the Chief Minister said that despite passage of 66 years, the objectives of the creation of Pakistan have still not been achieved and the country is plunged in crises and problems. He said that while the rich have every facility and privilege, the poor are deprived of even basic amenities. He said that Pakistan cannot be made an Islamic welfare state in the real sense unless social injustices are removed. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is making strenuous efforts for controlling terrorism, extremism, load-shedding, unemployment and other problems and all issues will be overcome with the cooperation of the masses. He said that Punjab government is trying to give a practical shape to the real concept of Pakistan through public-welfare projects. He said that Ashiyana housing scheme, Daanish schools, metro bus project, Sastay Ramazan bazaars and other projects are a proof of the fact that PML-N is implementing a solid strategy for the uplift of oppressed and deprived segments of the society. He said that the August 14 is also a day of self-accountability and to find the answer to the question why Pakistan is lagging behind other countries and why backwardness, poverty and lawlessness have become destiny of the nation.

Shahbaz Sharif said that despite difficult times, the spirit of Pakistani nation is still alive and it is capable of overcoming even the biggest challenges. He said that on Independence Day, the nation will have to resolve that no effort will be spared to ensure a respectable status for Pakistan in the comity of nations.
