LHC notice acid attack on mother and a child

Lahore High Court on Tuesday took notice of the news published in a section of press that two young brothers threw acid on their teenaged cousin and her mother near the Malook Shah. District & Sessions Judge, Bahawalpur has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, one of the two brothers, Akram and Dilshad was refused their 17-year-old cousin Aalia’s hand in marriage. Therefore, they barged in Aalia’s house at night and threw acid on her and her mother Sabiha. Both the victims are said to be in a serious condition at Bahawal Victoria Hospital. However, police has registered a case against the said accused and started investigation.

LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the episode and directed the concerned SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
