People would be facilitated under Ramazan Relief Package: Hamza Shahbaz

MNA Hamza ShahbazLahore:  Central leader of PML-N and MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that all possible facilities would be provided to the people under Ramazan Relief Package in all districts of South Punjab. He said that Ramazan Bazars are being set up in every city where quality essential items will be available to the people at cheaper rates. He asked the assembly members and administrative machinery to work round the clock for making Ramazan Bazars a success. He warned that no leniency would be shown to those officers taking no interest in resolution of peoples’ problems during monsoon rains and Ramazan ul Mubark. He asked public representatives to come up to the expectations of the people. Hamza Shahbaz said that security of mosques and Ramazan Bazars during Ramazan ul Mabark is a big challenge and police should evolve a foolproof security plan. He said that complaint centers in Ramazan Bazars should be made effective so that complaints of consumers could be redressed immediately.

He expressed these views while presiding over the meetings for reviewing arrangements for coping with monsoon and holding of Ramazan Bazars during his visit to Multan, Bahawalpur and DG Khan divisions today. Federal and Provincial Ministers, members of National and Provincial Assembly, Provincial secretaries, district officers of concerned departments and local office-bearers of PML-N attended the meetings.

Hamza Shahbaz said that provincial government has given a subsidy of Rs.3.20 billion on flour during Ramazan ul Mubark so that maximum relief could be provided to the poor people. He directed that complaint centers should be established in Ramazan Bazars and presence of focal persons of all concerned departments should be ensured. He said that the coordinated contact of these centers with the control rooms of DCOs should be linked so that complaint of any consumer could immediately be removed. He said that separate toilets for men and women should be set up in Ramazan Bazars and proper security system should be evolved. He said that no compromise should be made on the quality of edible items and availability of best quality items be ensured in Ramazan Bazars. Hamza Shahbaz said that profiteering is a menace in the society and the powers of price magistrates should be given to the officers of good repute for eliminating it.

Hamza Shahbaz said that the stalls of utility stores should be set up in Ramazan Bazars and stalls of atta should be established in an organized manner. He said that there should be clear difference in the prices of essential items at fair price shops. He asked DCOs to include elected assembly members of their respective districts in connection with holding of Ramazan Bazars. He said that a Provincial Minister would be made In-charge of every district so that monitoring of Ramazan Bazars could be made. Provincial Food Minister Bilal Yasin said that as Ramazan ul Mubarak is approaching in monsoon therefore the sites for Ramazan Bazars should be identified keeping in view the rains. He said that DCOs should hold meetings with well-to-do people directly for arranging Ramazan Dastarkhawan.

Commissioner Multan Division Syed Ali Murtaza gave a briefing about holding of Ramazan Bazars in Multan Division. Hamza Shahbaz visited Sasta Ramanzan Bazar in Shamasabad Colony Multan and expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements. Later, he went to Bahawalpur and DG Khan and took briefings about the preparations of monsoon and arrangements of Ramazan Bazars during meetings with assembly members, provincial secretaries and district administration. He directed officers of all concerned departments to work with devotion for providing relief to the people under Ramazan Package and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He also reviewed the arrangements made for Ramazan Bazars at various places in both divisions.
