CM announces Ramazan Package

Lahore:  Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that availability of essential items to the masses will be ensured at affordable rates during Ramazanul Mubarak. Atta bag and other items would be available in Ramazan Bazars at cheaper than the market rates, he added. Ramazan Bazars would be set up in every district under Ramazan Package.

He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting in connection with Ramazan Package at Chief Minister’s Office today. The Chief Minister said that the Ministers would visit various districts to review the prices and quality of edibles in Ramazan Bazars. He also directed to maintain high quality of the daily use items in Ramazan Bazars besides all necessary steps be taken for the provision of fruits and vegetables to the consumers in abundance. He said that an effective mechanism be formulated for checking prices in Ramazan Bazars. The Chief Minister said that a control room has been set up for effective implementation on Ramazan Package.

Nobody would be allowed profiteering or hoarding during Ramazanul Mubarak, he added. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government is providing a subsidy of four billion rupees on Ramazan Package.
