Special medical facilities would be provided to the journalists:minister health Punjab

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Health and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu has said that the sacrifices of journalists against dictatorship are unforgettable and the journalists not only faced imprisonment along with political workers for the restoration of democracy and supremacy of justice in the country but also sacrificed their lives.

 He expressed these views while addressing the concluding ceremony of a 2-day training workshop arranged by Rescue-1122 in connection with saving the lives of the people in accidents and meeting any emergent situation at Lahore Press Club today. President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, General Secretary Shahbaz Mian, Vice President Javed Farooqi, Brig. Arshad Zia and other team members of Rescue-1122 and the members of Press Club getting training in the workshop were present on the occasion.  

Provincial Minister said that country is facing terrorism and accidents have become a routine matter, therefore, getting basic training for saving other’s lives in accidents and meeting any emergent situation is necessary for every citizen. On the demand of President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, regarding provision of medicines in the dispensary and visit of specialist doctors to Lahore Press Club during different days of week, Khalil Tahir Sindhu assured that he will take practical steps in this regard and provide special treatment facilities to the journalists.

                        Earlier, President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, said that during the incidents of bomb blasts, accidents and fire, media representatives arrive at the site much before others, therefore, training of saving the lives in accidents and meeting any emergent situation is necessary for them and due to this reason, a 2-day training was arranged for the members of press club through Rescue-1122. He said that the journalists are ready to perform their professional duties with devotion in any unfavourable situation and they will continue this mission.
