Munna Lahori is being paid 25 thousands per month

Lahore:  A spokesman of Information & Culture Department Punjab has said that Punjab government is taking all possible steps for the welfare of artists and providing financial assistance to the needy and deserving ones. He said that financial assistance is provided to the artists from the Artists Support Fund established on the direction of the Chief Minister Punjab. The spokesman said the impression that Punjab government does not provide financial assistance to the needy and deserving artists being created through news items and some tv programmes about the prominent stage artist Munna Lahori is not correct. He said that a monthly stipend of rupees twenty five thousand is being given to Munna Lahori by the Punjab government regularly. Similarly, the facility of free medical treatment is also available to the artists on priority basis by Punjab government, he added.
